Diane Stewart- Artist

I am a Devon based artist living near to Dartmoor
 and close to the sea.

I have studied textile art and design and have worked
 with textiles - felt making and weaving, but in recent years
 have been inspired also to paint and have studied in Plymouth.

My work is a spontaneous expression of changing shapes and
 moods, reflecting the relationship between the external
 landscape, with its constant movement of colour and patterns,
 and the internal landscape of thoughts and emotions.

Working in a free flowing style each painting is a journey
exploring colour and texture to give images and impressions of
 form and movement, using acrylic as the main medium.

My work ranges from vibrant and visceral explosions of colour
 to more introspective and considered pieces.
